KissaMoon is a student-run summer pop-up shop featuring Finnish candy, snacks, gifts, and unique treasures inspired by Finnish culture.
Created by local student entrepreneur Kendra Korpela through Ontario’s Summer Company program, KissaMoon was born from a desire to share a little piece of Finland with the Haliburton Highlands.
Growing up with Finnish family roots, Kendra developed a love for the treats, traditions, and simple joys that make Finland unique. From delicious chocolates and candies to charming gifts and Nordic-inspired finds, KissaMoon offers a carefully curated collection of products that are often difficult to find locally.

Meet Kendra
Kendra is a recent Haliburton Highlands Secondary School graduate and future Georgian College student. Through Ontario’s Summer Company program, she is turning her love of Finnish culture and unique products into her very first business.
KissaMoon combines Kendra’s Finnish heritage, entrepreneurial spirit, and passion for sharing something a little different with the community.
The name KissaMoon was inspired by Kendra’s beloved cat, Dobby. “Kissa” means “cat” in Finnish, making the name a perfect blend of personal meaning and Finnish roots.

Finland is known for its beautiful forests and lakes, innovative design, delicious chocolate and candy, and strong sense of community.
